The Annual Symposium is the world's premier meeting for the research and practice of biomedical and health informatics, bringing together leaders advancing public health data systems and clinical innovation.

The 2025 Symposium convened 2,326 informaticians from around the world to share research and insights for leveraging health information and the latest technologies to improve human health.

This year's theme was Modernizing Informatics Across the Spectrum: Research, Clinical, and Public Health Systems.

The 2025 Symposium showcased cutting-edge research and practical advances—from informatics methods and policy impacts to innovations in data privacy, clinical decision support, phenotyping, NLP, and emerging public health data science.
